Natasha Camy

Natasha Camy is an NCAA Women's Division I basketball referee, entrepreneur, and investor with a career spanning officiating, business, and advocacy in sports. Camy played basketball at Archbishop Carroll High School and Widener University, where her interest in the game developed. Her entry into officiating began unexpectedly, later influenced by learning that her maternal grandmother was a professional referee, which guided her toward a career in sports officiating.

Camy has served as an NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Referee for more than a decade, officiating high-profile games, including the Elite 8 matchup between LSU and Iowa, recognized as one of the most watched women's basketball games. She was part of the first all-Black officiating crew for the Missouri Valley Conference Final and has worked in the Big Ten, SEC, WNIT, WBIT, and Big 12 Conference Final. Camy is among a small percentage of basketball referees who are women, African American, and LGBTQ+.

Outside officiating, Camy is the founder of Referee Ready Academy, an organization dedicated to training and developing new and aspiring basketball officials. The academy offers camps across the United States, focusing on referee development, inclusion, and elevating officiating standards. Camy is also an investor in the Cape Town Tigers, a South African basketball club in The Basketball Africa League, making her one of the few African American women to invest in a BAL team.

Camy is an international speaker and serves as general partner of Harlem Woodbine, an investment firm focused on culture, hospitality, and innovation. She has been recognized by Philadelphia Magazine as a Luminary Leader and featured in Forbes for her influence in basketball. Camy serves on boards including the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau Diversity Advisory Board and The Next Room. Through her work in basketball officiating, entrepreneurship, and investment, Camy addresses topics such as leadership, equity, and legacy-building in sports and business.
