Nadya Okamoto is a content creator, entrepreneur, author & advocate.
Okamoto started her career at age 16, founding the nonprofit period.org to fight period poverty and stigma. She’s followed that passion over the last decade and it’s led her to publish a book, lean into social content, and start a game-changing period brand, August.
She now has six million followers on social media and makes content about everything from building a business, getting married, being a big sister, and living her best life as a marathon-running-twenty-something-girl living in New York City.
Okamoto is a staunch advocate for menstrual equity and mental health. She’s devoted her life to smashing period stigma and take down barriers like the “tampon tax” that still exists in 19 US states. And she’s open about her experience living with depression, ptsd, and overcoming bpd.
