Linda Roszak Burton

Linda Roszak Burton, ACC, HWBC, BBC, BS, is President of DRW Coaching. Burton is a certified executive and well-being coach, academic researcher, author and public speaker. As a coach, Burton is committed to bringing well-being and strength-based coaching methodologies to her clients—methodologies informed by cutting-edge research and evidence-based practices in positive psychology, gratitude, neuroscience and positive organizational behaviors (POB).

As an academic researcher, she supports initiatives related to leadership development, employee engagement, and fostering a healthy and positive work environment. She is currently researching strategies to support the mental health of nurses, managers and support staff: Leading, Connecting, Coping: Nurses' Responses to Sustaining Well-being in Crisis Conditions, a collaboration with James Cook University (Australia) and Anglia Ruskin University (UK). Their recent work includes a 2024 publication: Gratitude interventions to improve well-being and resilience of graduate nurses transitioning to practice: A scoping review. Burton’s 2019 study showed significant improvements (p<0.001) in employee engagement and meaningfulness of work. Burton is Charter Member of A Loving Organization Consortium rooted in a systems-focused approach to cultivating a culture of compassion, connection, human dignity, and learning across every layer of work.

Her gratitude keynotes and programs highlight research and evidence-based practices that support individual health and well-being, mitigate burnout, increase retention and engagement and foster more prosocial workplace behaviors. Her guidelines for incorporating gratitude into an organization’s culture help expand trusted relationships, enhance unity among team members and contribute to each other’s well-being and flourishing.

Burton is a credentialed executive coach through the International Coach Federation, a certified Brain-Based Coach through the NeuroLeadership Institute, a certified Positive Psychology-Based Health and Well-Being Coach through the College of Executive Coaching, a Charter Member of A Loving Organization, and a member of the Institute of Coaching at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School Affiliate. She holds a B.S. in Health Education from Virginia Tech and has completed coursework pursuing an M.S. in Conflict Management at the University of Baltimore.

Burton is the author of "Gratitude Heals®- A Journal for Inspiration and Guidance (Available on Amazon)". Additionally, her Great Mills TEDx Talk on Gratitude- The Power to Heal the World was released in December 2022. Burton is a regular contributor to the Wharton Healthcare Quarterly on the science of gratitude since 2017.
