Kirsten Olshan

Kirsten Olshan is a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, consultant, and speaker whose work focuses on human performance, organizational well-being, and sustainable success. Olshan’s career centers on supporting executives and organizations in fostering workplace happiness and well-being, with an emphasis on achieving and maintaining high performance. Her integrative philosophy is grounded in the belief that comprehensive health encompasses all aspects of life and work, and that proactive, human-centered approaches to wellness can benefit both individuals and organizations.

Olshan holds a Master of Science in exercise science, health promotion, sports physiology, and nutrition. With more than 20 years of experience as a fitness educator, personal trainer, and Pilates specialist, she has developed and implemented wellness programs for leading health clubs nationwide. Her clients include professional athletes, physicians, executives, business professionals, and performing artists. Olshan has served as a health and wellness coach at Stanford University’s BeWell Programs, where she provided one-on-one coaching, developed individualized wellness plans, and supported clients in achieving their health and well-being goals. She also facilitates employee wellness and stress management short courses for 2U, developed in partnership with Stanford Health Education, as well as healthcare and leadership courses, delivering evidence-based wellness education to a broad professional audience.

Olshan’s approach to resilience is informed by personal experience. She has spoken publicly about managing two chronic illnesses, including endocarditis, which resulted in a compromised heart valve, and a breast cancer diagnosis that impacted her athletic abilities. Olshan has used these experiences to inform her research and advocacy, focusing on the role of sports and physical activity in supporting long-term physical and mental health. She has served as a lead advocate and facilitator with the LYTE Foundation, a nonprofit supporting breast cancer survivors, where she contributed to the development and launch of a health and wellness coach training program.

As a master resilience trainer, Olshan works with individuals and teams to build resilience and perform under pressure in high-stakes environments. She founded Healthy Steps, a peer-to-peer sports mentoring initiative for school-age children, teens, and college students, reflecting her commitment to community health. Olshan also works with educational and healthcare organizations to implement multiculturally diverse, human-centered approaches to health. As a keynote speaker, her topics include empowerment, mental health, mindfulness, peak performance, heart health, and work-life balance, providing expertise for audiences seeking to enhance resilience and well-being in life and the workplace.
