Ken Rideout

Ken Rideout is recognized as the fastest marathoner in the world over age 50, a distinction achieved through a significant journey of personal transformation. A former prison guard, Wall Street trader, and opioid addict, Rideout built a career in finance with firms including Cantor Fitzgerald and Crédit Agricole. Despite outward success, he struggled with a decade-long opioid addiction, which consumed much of his earnings. After achieving sobriety, Rideout redirected his focus to endurance athletics, progressing from an unknown runner to the fastest marathoner in his age group.

Rideout's athletic accomplishments include victories in some of the world's most challenging endurance events. He has won the Gobi March, a 155-mile self-supported race across the Gobi Desert in Mongolia, at age 52, and the Masters (50+) Marathon World Championships. Rideout has also secured wins in the 50-and-over division at both the New York City and Boston Marathon. He has completed more than 10 Ironman triathlons, maintaining a competitive presence in the endurance sports community.

In addition to his athletic pursuits, Rideout is an entrepreneur and business leader. He founded Camrock Advisors, a capital solutions firm, and launched Rideout Sports and Entertainment, a talent agency. He also hosts the podcast "RIDEOUT: The Other Side of Hard." With more than 20 years of experience in financial sales and business development, Rideout applies the same determination in business as he does in athletics.

Rideout is the author of the memoir "Everything You Want Is on the Other Side of Hard," published by Simon & Schuster, which details his journey from adversity to athletic achievement.
