Jonathan Mooney

Jonathan Mooney is a dyslexic writer, speaker, and advocate, has had his work featured in various prestigious media outlets, including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, USA Today, HBO, NPR, ABC News, New York Magazine, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, NBC, and Fast Company. Despite the challenges he faced learning to read only at the age of 12, Mooney went on to graduate with honors in English Literature from Brown University.

A nationally recognized advocate for neurological and physical diversity, Mooney has been speaking across the nation about these topics for two decades. Sharing the stage with influential figures such as then-Vice President Joe Biden, he has inspired those who live with differences and advocated for necessary change. His commitment to public service has been recognized through awards like the Harry S. Truman Fellowship for Public Service and the LA Achievement Award from The Lab School of Washington.

Mooney is an accomplished author with several books to his credit. Remarkably, he wrote his first book at the age of 23 while still an undergraduate. His published works include "The Short Bus," "Learning Outside the Lines," and "Normal Sucks." His academic prowess was further highlighted when he became a finalist for a prestigious Rhodes Scholarship.
