Jim Madrid is a keynote speaker, performance coach, and entrepreneur whose career centers on unlocking the power of mindset. From his early days at Nordstrom, where he was mentored by Jim and Bruce Nordstrom, to coaching Fortune 500 leaders and professional athletes, Madrid has spent more than three decades helping individuals master the mental game of success.

As the founder of Advance Sports Technology, Madrid developed mental fitness curricula and programs for youth, collegiate, and professional sports, drawing on research from experts in cognitive and positive psychology. He has dedicated nearly half a century to studying human performance.

Madrid is also the founder of Madrid Partners and serves as CEO and founder of Advance Sports Technology. He previously held the role of chief executive officer at Entelechy Training & Development, where he led the organization to a global position in leadership consulting, achieving revenues exceeding $1 million per year within the first year of operation.

Madrid’s approach to teaching involves simplifying complex concepts and research from cognitive and positive psychology, making them accessible and practical for a global audience. His students include leaders from Spain, Australia, Mexico, South America, and Canada.

His client roster includes Fortune 500 companies such as Boeing, Nordstrom, Mercedes-Benz, and Lexus, as well as professional sports teams like Seattle Sounders FC, Seattle Seahawks, Washington Redskins, and Utah Jazz, along with collegiate programs. Madrid also assisted Coach Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks in developing the online "Win Forever" series.

Madrid is a published author, with works including "Get Over It and Get On With It," which has sold more than 50,000 copies, "The Ten Principles of Entelechy," "The Facilitative Leader," and "The 7 Fundamentals of Mental Toughness." These publications have contributed to the fields of personal development and leadership.

With over four decades of experience, Madrid has impacted the lives of more than 100,000 athletes, coaches, parents, program administrators, and referees. He also developed a program that enabled Boys & Girls Club of America Advanced Philanthropy to raise more than $88 million in major gifts.

Madrid’s personal journey includes surviving Stage 4 pancreatic and lung cancer, despite being given less than a 1 percent chance of survival. He credits his mindset principles—faith, gratitude, and positivity—for overcoming both cancers without chemotherapy or surgery. This experience inspired his book "Meatballs and Mindset," which weaves together his Italian heritage, optimism, and stories designed to inspire resilience. Madrid’s personal triumph over adversity brings authenticity and depth to his message, resonating with audiences in sports, business, and beyond.
