Jake Humphrey

Jake Humphrey is one of the UK’s most trusted and respected voices on performance, leadership, resilience and modern mindset. A broadcaster, author, entrepreneur and host of the popular podcast, High Performance, he has spent more than twenty years working at the highest levels of elite sport and business, shaping conversations around what it truly means to perform at your best.

Humphrey’s career in media and elite sport started at CBBC, he then went on to become the youngest ever host of "Match of the Day", before fronting the BBC’s award-winning Formula 1 coverage, Sports Personality Of The Year and hosting major Olympic Games programming. He led BT Sport’s Premier League and Champions League broadcasts for ten years.

In 2010, Humphrey co-founded Whisper Group, now one of Europe’s largest production companies. Whisper delivers major global projects across sport, entertainment and branded content, with teams working across the UK and internationally. Humphrey continues to play a key strategic role in the company’s evolution and long-term growth.

In 2020, Humphrey launched The High Performance Podcast, which has since become one of the world’s most influential platforms on leadership and mindset. The show has generated over 150 million downloads, consistently tops the charts, and features world-class performers from sport, business, science and culture. High Performance has expanded into a global brand encompassing bestselling books, international live shows, corporate programs, and a fast-growing suite of digital content reaching millions each week including the production of several other leading podcasts.

Humphrey is the author of multiple books, including The Sunday Times bestseller "High Performance: Lessons from the best on Becoming your Best," and "Micro-Habits: Tiny Changes that Supercharge High Performance." His books explore the character, habits and behaviors that underpin sustainable success and happiness.

Humphrey is deeply committed to charity and youth development. He is the co-founder of The High Performance Foundation, supporting young people to build mental strength and essential life skills; is Chair of the Norwich Community City Sports Foundation; and alongside his wife ,Harriet, has raised over £2m for Young Lives vs Cancer. He is a Deputy Lieutenant of Norfolk, recognizing his contribution to the region. He is also one of LinkedIn’s original UK Influencers.
