Jack Nasher

Jack Nasher is a negotiation advisor, author, and academic with expertise in negotiation strategy, human psychology, and leadership. Nasher has taught at Oxford University and was the youngest appointee to a professorship at Munich Business School, where he held the chair for Leadership & Organization. His academic background includes studies in philosophy, psychology, management, and law. He has worked at the European Court of Justice, the United Nations in New York City, and at Skadden, a prominent Wall Street law firm. Nasher is also a faculty member at Stanford University.

Nasher founded the NASHER Negotiation Institute, which provides negotiation training and consulting for Fortune 500 companies, banks, and accounting firms. He applies psychological concepts to assess and influence individuals, particularly in negotiation contexts. Nasher is a contributor to Forbes, where he authors the annual Top 10 list of "World Changing Negotiations."

Nasher has written several books on negotiation and deception detection, including "Durchschaut," which addresses tools for detecting deceit; "Entlarvt!," which applies interrogation methods to corporate environments; "Deal!," which covers negotiation techniques; and "Convinced!," which presents methods for building trust and credibility. His books have been published internationally, including in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, India, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Korea, Russia, Taiwan, Japan, Mexico, and China.

Nasher's work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, and China Times. Articles about Nasher have appeared in The Harvard Business Review, Handelsblatt, Capital, ZEIT, FAZ, and Business Insider. He has appeared on more than 100 radio and TV programs. Nasher is a Principal Practitioner of the Association of Business Psychology and speaks at management conventions, where his research has received recognition.

Nasher is also a mentalist and regularly demonstrates mind mysteries at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, California. He emphasizes that negotiation skills can be developed and that the mindset of successful negotiators is a key differentiator in the field.
