David Cohen

David Cohen is the founder and CEO of Techstars, a pre-seed investor and startup accelerator that has played a significant role in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Since establishing Techstars, Cohen has overseen investments in more than 4,000 startups, including unicorns such as Alloy, Chainalysis, Classpass, DataRobot, Digital Ocean, Outreach, Pillpack, Remitly, SalesLoft, SendGrid, and Zipline. Under his leadership, Techstars has become a key organization in supporting early-stage entrepreneurs by providing capital, mentorship, and a broad network of connections.

Cohen began his entrepreneurial career by founding and leading several technology ventures, including Pinpoint Technologies, which was acquired by Zoll Medical Corporation, and earFeeder, later sold to SonicSwap. In addition to his business ventures, Cohen is an active angel investor with a portfolio of more than 100 companies. He is also a published author, co-writing "Do More Faster: Techstars Lessons to Accelerate Your Startup," which offers practical insights for founders. Cohen is a frequent speaker at industry events and on platforms such as Talks at Google and international startup forums.

Cohen serves on advisory boards for organizations including Endeavor Colorado and the Silicon Flatirons Center for Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado. He is a co-founder and advisory board member of the Techstars Foundation, supporting innovation and emerging entrepreneurs.
