Dave Luehr

Dave Luehr is a collision repair industry coach, consultant, and keynote speaker with a career spanning more than three decades. Luehr began his career in the industry as a floor sweeper and technician before becoming a collision business owner. After starting his first business with limited resources, he experienced setbacks but returned to the industry as an operational expert and collision process engineer, working with leading collision repair shops across the United States. Through these roles, Luehr developed expertise in proactive leadership, streamlined operations, and process improvement within the collision repair sector.

With experience in leadership positions at multiple large multi-shop operators, including Manheim and ABRA, Luehr has contributed to the development of successful shop processes and operational strategies. He later founded Elite Body Shop Solutions, a consulting firm focused on supporting independent collision repair shops. Luehr’s consulting work emphasizes Lean and Theory of Constraints methodologies, helping shops differentiate themselves and thrive amid industry consolidation. He has also served on several industry association boards and is recognized for his contributions to collision repair business management and operational excellence.

Luehr and the Elite team have supported independent shop owners in achieving significant business growth, using a coaching framework designed for sustainable expansion and multi-store operations. He is the co-author, with Stacey Phillips, of the book "The Secrets of America's Greatest Body Shops," which outlines key principles for effective collision shop management and features real-world examples of successful shop owners. The book is widely used as a resource in the collision repair industry.

Luehr has delivered keynote speeches internationally and remains active in local body shop associations. He has been recognized as an IBIS Ambassador, representing the global collision repair community at major events. Through workshops, live broadcasts, mastermind groups, and in-person training, Luehr focuses on addressing the needs of repairers and fostering an educational community within the collision repair industry.
