Ann Shoket

Ann Shoket is best recognized for her tenure as the editor-in-chief of Seventeen magazine from 2007 to 2014, a platform she used to engage and empower young women across the nation. She began her career in the media industry as a reporter at The American Lawyer, and was instrumental in the creation of the webzine Tag. She also held senior editorial roles at the Parade family of publications, and CosmoGIRL! magazine, demonstrating a consistent dedication to creating content for and about women. Her leadership and editorial vision culminated in initiatives such as a national leadership campaign with The White House Project, and the creation of the "CosmoGIRL! Born to Lead" patch program with The Girl Scouts.

Shoket’s ability to connect with audiences on a larger scale extended to her appearances as a judge on several episodes of "America's Next Top Model." Further expanding her influence, she delivered a thought-provoking TEDx talk at TEDxStLouisWomen in November 2017 titled "Why We Should All Be More Millennial," discussing the ways in which millennial women are redefining power and success.
