Alicia Salzer M.D. is a shrink on a mission to share with people the secrets and skills to get "back to life." The author of Back to Life: Getting Past Your Past with Resilience, Strength and Optimism (William Morrow), Salzer has worked at Ground Zero as a rescue worker, and as a volunteer for the Disaster Psychiatry Outreach at the 9/11 Family Assistance Center. As the Director of Aftercare for The Montel Williams Show for five years, she appeared in over 100 episodes helping victims overcome trauma by implementing her revolutionary Positive Psychology techniques. A sought-after keynote speaker, she has spoken at the American Psychiatric Association National Conference on topics ranging from physicians in the media to gay parenting. Using methods from her own practice, Salzer has empowered trauma victims across the world to finally live the life they deserve.

In her "Back to Life" talks, Salzer reveals a wise, sympathetic, and practical guide for overcoming traumatic setbacks, and living a normal, happy life without being a victim.
