Zosia Mamet

Zosia Mamet is an actress and musician known for her work across television, film, and stage. The daughter of playwright and filmmaker David Mamet and actress Lindsay Crouse, and granddaughter of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Russel Crouse, Mamet comes from a family with a significant presence in American entertainment. Choosing to pursue acting rather than attend college, she began her career with recurring roles on series such as "The Unit," "United States of Tara," "Parenthood," and "Mad Men."

Mamet gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Shoshanna Shapiro on the HBO series "Girls." After viewing Lena Dunham's film "Tiny Furniture," Mamet sought to collaborate with Dunham, leading to her character becoming a series regular. Her performance earned multiple award nominations, including recognition from the Online Film & Television Association for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Her film credits include "The Kids Are All Right," "Greenberg," and "Cherry." She made her stage debut in the off-Broadway drama "Really Really."
