Young Nudy

Quantavious Tavario Thomas, known professionally as Young Nudy, is an Atlanta-based rapper and singer recognized for his distinctive voice and innovative approach to Southern hip-hop. Thomas incorporates a range of styles in his music, from a subdued, deadpan delivery to energetic triplet flows, reflecting experiences from his upbringing in Atlanta. He began rapping in the studio alongside friends, eventually transitioning from street life to a career in music.

Thomas first gained attention with the "Slimeball" mixtape series, which highlighted his unique delivery and atmospheric production choices. His collaboration with producer Pi'erre Bourne played a significant role in shaping his early sound, with Bourne often working with Thomas outside of regular studio hours. The project "Slimeball 2" featured artists such as Juicy J and 21 Savage, with production by Metro Boomin and Pi'erre Bourne. The single "EA," featuring 21 Savage, achieved Platinum certification and significant streaming success. Before releasing "Slimeball 3," Thomas secured a multi-million dollar, four-album deal with Paradise East Records, RCA Records, and Same Plate Entertainment.

The collaborative album with Pi'erre Bourne, "Sli'merre," marked a breakthrough for Thomas, reaching number 63 on the Billboard 200. He received a Grammy Award nomination for his feature on the Dreamville Records single "Down Bad" and contributed to the compilation album "Revenge of the Dreamers III." The mixtape "Anyways" showcased Thomas's willingness to experiment with unconventional production and darker lyrical themes.

Thomas continued to evolve his sound with the studio album "Dr. EV4L," which incorporated horrorcore influences and featured artists such as Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, and G Herbo. Shortly after, he released "Rich Shooter," which explored experimental production while maintaining commercial appeal. The album "Gumbo" received critical acclaim from outlets including Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Stereogum, and XXL Magazine, and featured the single "Peaches & Eggplants" with 21 Savage, which peaked at number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Thomas has collaborated with Metro Boomin on the song "John Wayne" and reunited with Pi'erre Bourne for "Sli'merre 2." His single "That's Not Gangsta" further expanded his catalog. With a body of work that spans street narratives, horrorcore, and mainstream hip-hop, Thomas is recognized as a versatile and influential figure in Atlanta rap, consistently evolving his sound while maintaining authenticity.
