Wendi Nix

Wendi Nix is an American sports journalist and television personality recognized for her extensive career in sports broadcasting. Nix began her television career at ABC affiliate WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach-Florence, South Carolina, where she covered NASCAR, high school sports, and news. She later served as a national sports reporter for FOXSports, an anchor-reporter for FOXSports New England, and reported and anchored for New England Sports Network. Before joining ESPN, Nix was a weekend sports anchor at WHDH in Boston.

Nix joined ESPN and appeared on ESPN networks throughout the year, hosting weekday editions of "NFL Insiders" and "NFL Live" and segments on "Sunday NFL Countdown." She contributed to annual coverage of the Super Bowl and the NFL Draft, hosted pre-, halftime, and post-game segments on college football Saturdays, hosted editions of "College Football Live" for six years, and served as a reporter on "College GameDay" for five years. Nix was also a contributor on "SportsCenter" and "College GameDay." Her golf coverage includes the U.S. Open, The Masters, and The Open Championship.

Nix became the first woman to host the Walter Camp Football Foundation All-American Awards. She also hosted the Monday Night Football Chalk Talk luncheon programs, which highlighted the teams and host cities participating in weekly Monday Night Football primetime games and honored local civic and community leaders. Nix held a dual role as host of ESPN's "NFL Rewind" and "College Football Live." Throughout her career, she has worked across multiple sports disciplines, navigating challenges as a woman in the sports journalism industry and contributing to the advancement of women in sports media.

Nix earned a bachelor's degree in French and economics from Wofford College and a master's degree in sports management from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Her body of work spans NFL coverage, college football, golf, and major sporting events, establishing her as a prominent figure in sports journalism and broadcasting.
