Victor Cha

Victor Cha is a leading authority on Korean Peninsula security and Asian affairs. He serves as president of the Geopolitics and Foreign Policy Department and Korea Chair at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Cha is also a Distinguished University Professor and professor of government at Georgetown University. Recognized as Distinguished University Professor, the highest honor for tenured faculty at Georgetown, Cha has developed a significant career in international relations and Asian security studies. Cha has received the Hubert H. Humphrey Award from the American Political Science Association for public service and the Joseph Kurzel Memorial Prize for excellence in scholarship and public service. He is a two-time Fulbright Scholar and has held fellowships at Harvard University and Stanford University. Cha also holds Georgetown's Dean's Award for Teaching, the Distinguished Research Award, and a Distinguished Principal Investigator Award.

In addition to his academic and policy work, Cha is a public commentator on Asian affairs.
