Tom Selleck

Tom Selleck's work in both television and film has been widely recognized and appreciated. His most recognizable role is Thomas Magnum in the 1980s CBS television series, "Magnum P.I.," for which he received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for best actor in a drama series. He was also nominated for five Emmy Awards for this role. In addition to these accolades, Selleck has received five People’s Choice Awards, as well as multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations throughout his career. In 2024, he released his memoir, "You Never Know: A Memoir," detailing his journey through life and Hollywood.

Despite his fame from "Magnum P.I.," Selleck’s later work has continued to draw audiences. Since 2005, he has played the role of Jesse Stone in a series of television films based on the best-selling novels by Robert B. Parker. The 2008 film "Jesse Stone: Sea Change" earned Selleck an Emmy Award nomination for outstanding lead actor in a miniseries or movie. Additionally, he starred as Frank Reagan in the long-running CBS drama "Blue Bloods," which concluded its 14th and final season in 2024.

Selleck’s film career has included a variety of roles in box-office hits such as "Three Men and a Baby," its sequel "Three Men and a Little Lady," and "Quigley Down Under." Over the years, he has also appeared in popular television series, including a recurring role on "Friends" and an early appearance on "The Rockford Files."

Aside from his acting career, Selleck is a veteran of the California Army National Guard. He has served as a spokesman for the National Rifle Association of America and has been involved with the character education initiative "Character Counts!" His contributions have been recognized with an honorary doctorate from Pepperdine University and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1986.
