Todd Hewlin

Todd Hewlin is a managing director and co-founder of TCG Advisors, a growth strategy firm based in Silicon Valley. An expert in digitization and business model innovation, Hewlin has spent two decades advising market leaders on digital disruption and its impact on companies and careers. He leverages experience as a strategist, investor, and operator to support organizations in achieving growth in the technology and digital transformation sectors.

Hewlin co-authored "Goliath's Revenge: How Established Companies Turn the Tables on Digital Disruptors" with Scott Snyder, a book that examines how digital transformation is reshaping competition and provides case studies on established companies adopting Silicon Valley strategies. The book has been recognized by Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal. Hewlin also co-authored "Consumption Economics: The New Rules of Tech" and "B4B: How Technology and Big Data Are Reinventing the Customer-Supplier Relationship." His writing has appeared in Harvard Business Review, Wired, McKinsey Quarterly, and Knowledge@Wharton.

Hewlin advises clients such as GE Digital, Salesforce, Microsoft, Splunk, Cisco, Brambles, Veritas, Telstra, Hitachi, and Macquarie Capital on growth strategies in a digital environment. His work addresses how private and public companies are valued as digital assets become increasingly significant. Hewlin is a frequent speaker at industry events and contributes to publications on topics including disruptive innovation, business model evolution, and innovation return.

Before founding TCG Advisors, Hewlin led the $1.5 billion product business at Symbol Technologies, an enterprise mobility company. Earlier, he served as a managing director at Internet Capital Group and as a partner at McKinsey & Company, where he co-led the e-commerce practice. Hewlin holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Waterloo and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Western Ontario. He also served as a founding board member of TalentSky.
