Tinea Taylor

Tinea Taylor is a DJ, TV, and radio presenter known for her work in British entertainment. Taylor began her career after earning a degree in media, film, and television studies from Brunel University London. Her first presenting role was with the online pop culture magazine DropoutUK, where she interviewed artists such as Professor Green, The Saturdays, Chase and Status, and Tinie Tempah. She later participated in KISS FM UK's competition The Kiss Chosen One, advancing to the final ten.

Taylor has hosted KISS FM's "Hype Charts," establishing her as a prominent voice in the music and broadcasting industry. She has presented across BBC Radio 1 following her tenure at KISS FM. Throughout her career, Taylor has interviewed notable figures including Lady Gaga, Usain Bolt, Hugh Jackman, Rita Ora, Stormzy, Bree Runway, Sam Smith, and Ed Sheeran. In addition to her radio and television work, Taylor has DJed at events in Ibiza and Mallorca and presented at major UK festivals such as Wireless and V Fest, as well as awards shows including the MTV EMAs and MOBOs. She has also performed for large audiences, including a crowd of 25,000 at a festival in Malta.

Taylor has spoken about the challenges she faced as a Black woman in British media, including limited representation and scrutiny early in her career. These experiences have influenced her advocacy for racial equality and social justice within the broadcasting and entertainment industries.

Beyond her work on air, Taylor is a motivational speaker, addressing topics such as female empowerment, mental health, diversity and inclusion, and race at events including Go Think Big (now Amplifi) and GRL PWR GANG workshops. She has also presented Grazia's shows "The Hotlist" and "It's The Week To." Taylor's involvement in fashion includes campaigns with brands such as Puma, ASOS, and Dr. Martens. Her career spans music, broadcasting, public speaking, and fashion, contributing to ongoing conversations about diversity and inclusion in British media.
