Tim Wise

Tim Wise is a leading anti-racist writer, educator, and public speaker in the United States, known for his work addressing systemic racism, privilege, and social inequality. With more than 25 years of experience, he has spoken at colleges, universities, high schools, conferences, and professional organizations across the country and internationally. His training and workshops have been delivered to audiences in corporate, government, entertainment, medical, legal, military, and law enforcement sectors.

Wise is the author of multiple books on race and social justice, including “Dispatches from the Race War.” His writing examines structural inequality, historical and contemporary racism, and the social impact of discrimination. His work continues to be widely used in academic settings and is frequently assigned in college and university courses.

In addition to writing and speaking, Wise remains active in public education and media commentary. He has appeared on national television programs discussing race and social policy, contributing perspectives to conversations on networks such as CNN and MSNBC. He also hosts the podcast “Speak Out with Tim Wise,” where he explores current social issues through interviews and analysis.

Wise has been involved in social justice advocacy through advisory and community roles, including his association with the Fisk University Race Relations Institute. Earlier in his career, he worked with the Louisiana Coalition Against Racism and Nazism and participated in public dialogues addressing race, class, gender, and militarism.

Wise graduated from Tulane University in 1990 and later received anti-racism training through the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond. He continues to lecture, write, and engage audiences on issues related to equity, inclusion, and social justice.
