Thomas L. Rose

Thomas L. Rose is an author, speaker, and advertising and marketing professional whose career shifted after personal loss led him to write about grief. Rose has worked in advertising and marketing for much of his career, collaborating with his son Brock at Rose and Rose Associates. Prior to his writing career, Rose and his wife Joyce hosted a cooking segment on a regional Fox TV station morning show for 13 years, titled "Cooking Together with Tom and Joyce." Together, they published two cookbooks, "Cooking Together Chinese Style" and "Cooking Together Quick and Easy," and toured the Midwest teaching cooking classes.

Following the death of his wife from breast cancer, Rose authored "Balloon in a Box, Coping with Grief." The book details his personal experience with grief and offers guidance for readers on moving forward in life while honoring loved ones. It includes quotes from the Bible and notable figures, providing insight for a broad audience. The book expanded Rose's presence in the grief support and mental health community.

Rose has participated in over 100 speaking engagements at churches, service clubs, retirement communities, and correctional facilities, sharing his experiences and perspectives on coping with loss. He describes his work in grief support as both a mission and a personal calling.

With his son, Rose authored a third cookbook, "Cooking Together Revisited," dedicated to Joyce, with proceeds supporting families affected by breast cancer. He and his family also produce a YouTube cooking show, "Cooking Together Generations," to further promote breast cancer support initiatives. Rose has published a novel, "The Secret is in the Pasta," a murder mystery, and continues to write on themes of love and belief. His career encompasses advertising, marketing, culinary arts, grief support, and public speaking, reflecting a commitment to helping others navigate loss and find connection.
