The Castellows

The Castellows are an neo-traditional country music trio made up of sisters Eleanor “Ellie,” Lily, and Powell Balkcom, who blend rich three-part harmonies with authentic, roots-inspired songwriting that bridges traditional and contemporary country sounds. Hailing from the small rural town of Georgetown in Quitman County, Georgia, the sisters grew up singing and playing music together long before launching a professional career; their surname “Castellow” honors their great-grandmother’s maiden name and reflects their deep family ties.

The group first attracted attention in 2022 by posting cover performances on Instagram and TikTok, where their tight vocal blend and organic instrumentation quickly won a following and industry interest. By spring 2023, they had signed a record deal with Warner Music Nashville and Warner Records, marking a major step into the national country music scene.

In October 2023 The Castellows released their debut single “No. 7 Road,” followed by additional tracks including a cover of Leon Everette’s “Hurricane” and the original “I Know It’ll Never End.” Their first EP, A Little Goes a Long Way, produced by Trina Shoemaker, arrived in February 2024, showcasing their songwriting and performance strengths and earning them their first major award nomination for CMT’s Digital-First Performance of the Year.

Since then, The Castellows have continued to build momentum with follow-up releases, industry watch-list mentions, festival appearances, and tours with established acts, solidifying their reputation as a rising force in country music whose familial chemistry and reverence for tradition set them apart.
