Tadej Pogačar

Tadej Pogačar is a professional road cyclist recognized for his achievements in grand tours and one-day classics. Pogačar began his career as a successful junior, winning the Tour de l'Avenir before turning professional. At age 20, he became the youngest cyclist to win a UCI World Tour race at the Tour of California and secured three stage victories at the Vuelta a España, finishing third overall and earning the young rider title.

Pogačar has claimed multiple victories at the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, and one-day Monuments, including Milan–San Remo, Tour of Flanders, Liège–Bastogne–Liège, and Giro di Lombardia. He has also won the World Championship Road Race. Known for his versatility, Pogačar excels in time trials, one-day classics, and grand-tour climbing, drawing comparisons to all-round cyclists such as Eddy Merckx and Bernard Hinault.

Pogačar is one of only three male cyclists to complete the Triple Crown of Cycling, winning the Giro d'Italia, Tour de France, and World Championship Road Race in a single season. He is the only rider to achieve the Triple Crown and two Monuments in the same year. Pogačar has topped the Individual UCI World Rankings with record points and has maintained dominance in the men's UCI World Ranking for multiple consecutive seasons.

He has achieved podium finishes at all five Monuments in a single season and became the first cyclist to win the Giro di Lombardia five times in a row. Pogačar joined Jacques Anquetil, Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault, and Miguel Induráin as a five-time winner of the Tour de France, reaching this milestone at a younger age than his predecessors.

Pogačar is noted for his consistent performance, tactical acumen, and adaptability across various cycling disciplines. He became the first cyclist to surpass the 10,000-point mark in the UCI World Ranking, solidifying his status as a defining figure in professional cycling.
