Susan Power

Susan Power is an entrepreneur, executive coach, and leadership strategist with more than two decades of experience in leadership development, executive coaching, and talent management. Power is the founder and CEO of PowerUp Leadership Inc., a consulting advisory and coaching firm based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. PowerUp Leadership focuses on building leadership capability through a talent management consulting approach.

Power developed her consulting skills at firms in Toronto, including Accenture. She founded Higher Talent, a consulting business in Newfoundland and Labrador, which she later sold before joining J.D. Irving Limited as executive HR director. Power's career spans consulting, corporate executive roles, and entrepreneurship, providing her with a broad perspective on leadership challenges at all organizational levels.

A Professional Credentialed Coach through the International Coaching Federation and a certified HR leader (CHRL, CHRP), Power applies her expertise in business, neuroscience, psychology, philosophy, and theater to help clients develop their leadership style and leverage personal strengths. She has completed more than 3,500 paid coaching hours with over 300 organizations, including Fortune 500 companies across the United States, Canada, Europe, and South America. Her coaching practice specializes in working with C-suite executives, successor candidates, entrepreneurs, and women in executive positions.

Power has interviewed leaders worldwide from business, military, arts, academia, and entrepreneurship, identifying key factors that contribute to effective leadership. She is a co-host of the "Inspired Leadership" podcast and has spoken at national conferences such as WBE Canada and Women with Drive, sharing strategies for creative and bold leadership. PowerUp Leadership supports community development by awarding an annual scholarship in the form of a $3,500 coaching package to an emerging leader. Through her firm, podcast, and speaking engagements, Power advocates for a leadership approach that is both human-centered and results-driven.
