Susan Piver

Susan Piver is a New York Times bestselling author and meditation teacher recognized for translating ancient Buddhist practices into contemporary life. Her books include "How Not to Be Afraid of Your Own Life," "The Wisdom of a Broken Heart," "Start Here Now: An Open-Hearted Guide to the Path and Practice of Meditation," "The Four Noble Truths of Love: Buddhist Wisdom for Modern Relationships," and "The Buddhist Enneagram: Nine Paths to Warriorship." "Inexplicable Joy: On the Heart Sutra" is the first in a series published by the Open Heart Project, titled "Buddhism Beyond Belief."

Piver has studied Buddhism for decades, graduating from a Buddhist seminary and receiving authorization to teach meditation. Her practice is rooted in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism under the guidance of Tulku Thondup Rinpoche.
