Stephen J. Cloobeck is the former chairman and CEO of Diamond Resorts International, having stepped down in 2016 when the company was purchased by Apollo Global Management, LLC.
He is a strong Democrat, and proven problem-solver, who is committed to making California affordable, livable and workable for everyone. After a successful self-made business career, Cloobeck turned to public service - not politics - to make a difference for all hard-working people. He served in the Obama Administration working to grow our economy, support small businesses and create jobs. As a volunteer and funder, he has been a leader in supporting cancer research, education, homelessness, environmental protection and families impacted by recent wildfires.
