Soren Bjorn

Soren Bjorn is the chief executive officer of Driscoll's, a leading branded fresh berry company. As CEO, Bjorn oversees the company's global strategy and operations across more than 40 markets in North America, EMEA, APAC, and Australia. The family-owned company, with over a century of heritage, partners with a global network of more than 900 independent growers in 21 countries and distributes berries in nearly 50 countries.

Bjorn has played a significant role in Driscoll's growth, with the company achieving high rankings among U.S. food and beverage brands, reflecting sustained premium growth, brand momentum, and consumer trust. His career at Driscoll's spans nearly two decades, during which he has held leadership roles across various business units. He joined Driscoll's in 2006 and has contributed to business development in Europe, South America, and Australia, as well as global research and development and breeding. Bjorn previously led Driscoll's North America business unit and served as president of Driscoll's of the Americas.

Prior to joining Driscoll's, Bjorn spent six years with Del Monte Foods in San Francisco, where he managed global manufacturing outsourcing and sales and operations planning. He also served as president and CEO of UniMark Foods, Inc., a vertically integrated citrus and tropical fruit company based in Texas.

Bjorn holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Christian University's M.J. Neeley School of Business. He attended Baylor on a golf scholarship and captained the golf team before pursuing a career in business. Bjorn has participated in United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement discussions as a board member for the Produce Marketing Association and is an active voice on U.S. immigration policy reform and its impact on the American food supply.

As CEO, Bjorn has advanced strategies to grow the berry category and maintain Driscoll's leadership in the produce industry. The fresh berry category accounts for 25 percent of all fruit sales, and Bjorn has publicly discussed the category surpassing $10 billion in retail sales. A key driver of growth has been the super-premium berry segment, including Driscoll's "Sweetest Batch" line, with the industrywide super-premium category reaching nearly $700 million and Driscoll's representing approximately $400 million of that total. Bjorn prioritizes maintaining the company's culture and accelerating global growth, leveraging his experience in research, development, and innovation to guide the adoption of new technologies that improve operational efficiencies and address industry challenges such as climate change.

Bjorn is recognized as a thought leader on the future of food, agriculture, and global business. He has spoken at the Wall Street Journal Global Food Forum in Chicago and the Milken Institute Global Conference, addressing topics such as supply chain resilience and consumer health trends. Bjorn serves on the Western Growers Board of Directors, representing District 10, which includes Watsonville, Gilroy, Hollister, and Santa Cruz. His expertise in operational management, global agriculture, and innovation positions him as an authoritative voice on the intersection of agriculture, technology, and consumer trends.
