Dorsey is the founder of The Plug, a data-driven tech news platform that began as an early-morning newsletter and evolved into a full-fledged news outlet. As an author, Dorsey wrote "Upper Hand: The Future of Work for the Rest of Us," published by Wiley. The book provides practical resources for individuals retraining for high-demand careers in a rapidly evolving digital landscape, offering guidelines and frameworks for navigating a workforce shaped by Silicon Valley technologies, exclusive networks, and automation impacting Black and Latinx communities. Dorsey has delivered keynote addresses and moderated discussions for organizations including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Accenture, and Cisco.
Dorsey continues to contribute to the climate tech sector, shaping conversations on technology, sustainability, and business. As host of "TED Tech," she interviews CEOs, executives, investors, scientists, and engineers, providing analysis on global challenges. Her "Power Up" column at Inc. Magazine highlights women leaders driving innovation in sustainability and climate tech. Through reporting, interviews, and content platforms such as the video series "Clean Slate," Dorsey explores the people, policies, and technologies transforming the climate economy. She also advises climate-focused startups and funds on narrative development, market positioning, and investor strategies, and regularly leads discussions at the intersection of climate, technology, and business for global audiences.
