Sheena Iyengar

Sheena S. Iyengar serves as the S.T. Lee Professor of Business in the Management Department at Columbia Business School. Her research revolves around the concept of choice, investigating what influences our decisions and how to enhance our decision-making abilities. Iyengar's contribution to the academic world is evident in her receipt of the 1998 Best Dissertation Award from the Society of Experimental Social Psychology for her work, "Choice and its Discontents". She was also honored with the 2001 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, and in 2002, the National Science Foundation awarded her for her study on the perception of choice.

Iyengar has taken her knowledge and expertise to a broader audience through her books, "The Art of Choosing" and "Think Bigger".
