Scottie Scheffler

Scottie Scheffler is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He has held the rank of world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking since March 2022. Scheffler has won two major championships, the Masters Tournament in both 2022 and 2024. In addition to his major wins, he has claimed victory in nine PGA Tour events, three European Tour events, and two Korn Ferry Tour events, bringing his total professional wins to twelve. His other notable victories include the 2023 and 2024 Players Championship, and the Hero World Challenge in 2023.

After a stellar performance in 2019 on the Korn Ferry Tour, Scheffler was named the Player of the Year and also topped the Finals points list. His successful transition to the PGA Tour was recognized when he was named the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year in the 2019-20 season. This strong performance continued into the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, during which he was the PGA Tour money list winner, and was named the PGA Tour Player of the Year.

Scheffler has received the Best Golfer ESPY Award in 2023, the Byron Nelson Award for the 2022-23 season, and the Vardon Trophy in 2023. His record includes 18 consecutive top-12 finishes in the 2022-23 season. He has represented the United States in the Ryder Cup in 2021 and 2023, as well as in the Presidents Cup in 2022.

Off the course, Scheffler married his girlfriend Meredith Scudder in 2020, and he has invested in the Texas Ranchers, a pickleball team. He was featured in the sports documentary series Full Swing on Netflix.
