Scott Van Pelt

Scott Van Pelt is a prominent figure in sports media, with a career spanning more than three decades across television, radio, and digital platforms. Van Pelt began his sports broadcasting career at WTTG-TV (FOX) in Washington, D.C., before joining The Golf Channel, where he served as an anchor and reporter. During his tenure there, he co-hosted studio programs including "Golf Central," "Leaderboard Report," and occasionally hosted "Viewer's Forum."

Van Pelt joined ESPN as the network's lead professional golf reporter, later becoming a "SportsCenter" anchor and co-host on ESPN Radio's "Tirico and Van Pelt." His roles at ESPN expanded to include writing for "SportsCenter" and additional work on ESPN Radio. "The Scott Van Pelt Show" debuted on ESPN Radio and in a simulcast on ESPN2, later rebranded as "SVP & Russillo."

Van Pelt is the host of the midnight edition of "SportsCenter," where he provides analysis and commentary on major sports events. He has contributed to ESPN College GameDay with the "Bald Man on Campus" feature and has developed a dedicated late-night audience. Van Pelt also serves as the main host of ESPN's golf coverage, including the Masters and PGA Championship, and has covered professional golf for more than 30 years. He is the host of "Monday Night Countdown," ESPN Audio's weekly "SVPod" podcast, and the monthly "Bad Beats" program.

Van Pelt has received multiple Sports Emmy Awards, including recognition for Outstanding Studio Host and Outstanding Sports Personality. He has also been honored with the Middle Atlantic PGA's Earle Hellen Sports Media Award for his contributions to golf coverage and a Career Achievement Award at the DC Touchdown Club Awards Dinner. Van Pelt continues to be a significant presence in sports broadcasting, connecting with audiences across multiple platforms and sports.
