Sally McRae

Sally McRae is a professional ultramarathon runner, endurance coach, and motivational speaker known for her relentless spirit, mental toughness, and passion for helping others find strength through sport. A fixture in the global trail running community, Sally has competed in some of the world’s most grueling ultramarathons, including the Western States 100, UTMB, and Badwater 135—often called the “world’s toughest foot race”—which she won in 2021.

Raised in Southern California, Sally discovered running as a teenager and later turned to trail running as a way to channel her determination and overcome personal adversity. Her athletic achievements and inspiring life story have made her a respected voice in the endurance world, with a focus on mental resilience, purpose-driven living, and the power of self-belief.

In addition to her racing career, Sally is the founder of Yellow Runner, a brand and platform dedicated to encouraging others to “train hard, live well, and love others.” She’s also a content creator and has shared her journey through documentaries, podcasts, and social media, reaching a wide audience of athletes and non-athletes alike.
