Ruben Gonzalez

Rubén González is a four-time Winter Olympian, bestselling author, and keynote speaker whose story has engaged audiences worldwide. Known as The Luge Man, González is the first athlete to participate in four different Winter Olympics across four decades. He began training in luge at age 21, inspired by watching figure skater Scott Hamilton win gold at the Winter Olympics, and trained in Lake Placid, New York, and in Europe. González competed in the Calgary, Albertville, Salt Lake City, and Vancouver Winter Olympics. While most luge competitors start the sport at age 10, González began at 21, highlighting his unique path in Olympic sports.

González's Olympic career is marked by perseverance and athletic achievement. He competed in the Vancouver Olympics at age 47, racing against much younger athletes. González was selected as a torchbearer at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics and received the Olympic Spirit Award.
