Ron White

Ron White is an stand-up comedian known for his Texas storytelling style, observational humor, and signature stage presence, often performing with a cigar and a glass of scotch. White began his comedy career after serving in the United States Navy, where he was stationed on the USS Conserver during the Vietnam War. His experiences in the military and upbringing in small-town Texas have shaped the material that defines his comedic voice.

White gained national recognition as part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour alongside Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Larry the Cable Guy. The tour became a cultural phenomenon, selling out arenas in hundreds of cities and grossing tens of millions of dollars. White distinguished himself within the group through his adult-oriented, sharply delivered stories about marriage, divorce, drinking, travel, and everyday life.

As a solo performer, White released the comedy album "Drunk in Public" and the television special "They Call Me Tater Salad," which achieved record viewership on Comedy Central. His subsequent special, "You Can't Fix Stupid," also drew a large audience and became a top-rated program on basic cable. All four of White's comedy albums reached No. 1 on the Billboard Comedy Charts, with total album sales exceeding 15 million. His special "If You Quit Listening, I'll Shut Up" debuted on Netflix, further expanding his reach in the stand-up comedy industry.

White has received three Grammy nominations for Best Comedy Album, including for "Blue Collar Comedy Tour: One for the Road," "You Can't Fix Stupid," and "A Little Unprofessional." He is also the author of the New York Times best seller "Ron 'Tater Salad' White: I Had the Right to Remain Silent…But I Didn't Have the Ability." In addition to his stand-up work, White has appeared as a main cast member in the Cameron Crowe series "Roadies" and has had supporting roles in films such as "Horrible Bosses," "Sex and the City 2," and "Jayne Mansfield's Car."

White has demonstrated ongoing support for U.S. military personnel, founding the annual event "Ron White's Comedy Salute to the Troops" to benefit the Armed Forces Foundation. He has been recognized with a Patriot Award from the Armed Forces Foundation, and Texas officials designated April 27 as Ron White Day in the state. White continues to perform nationally, maintaining a presence in the comedy industry through his distinctive, self-deprecating humor and storytelling.
