Roger Lowenstein

Roger Lowenstein is a financial journalist and author known for his ability to explain complex economic topics through accessible narratives. Lowenstein graduated from Cornell University and reported for The Wall Street Journal for more than a decade, including two years writing the Heard on the Street column. He began his career at newspapers in Virginia and Caracas, Venezuela, before joining The Wall Street Journal, where he later authored the Intrinsic Value column. In "Ways and Means: Lincoln and His Cabinet and the Financing of the Civil War," Lowenstein examines how financial strategies during the Civil War transformed the nation.

He serves as a director of Sequoia Fund and is a member of the board of trustees at Lesley University.
