Robbie Freeman

Robbie Freeman is the chief digital transformation officer at Mount Sinai Health System, where he leads enterprise-wide strategies to integrate digital products, artificial intelligence, and informatics into clinical operations. Freeman oversees the development and deployment of digital assets, including the MyMountSinai patient app with millions of active users, and advanced AI-powered tools designed to enhance patient and workforce experiences. His teams translate clinical needs into technology solutions, supporting continuous improvement in patient safety, operational efficiency, and care quality.

Freeman’s career at Mount Sinai began at the bedside and progressed through roles in clinical operations, innovation, and informatics. He has led initiatives such as digital checklists that reduce surgical cancellations and AI-driven nudges that improve preventive care outcomes. His scholarly work at Yale University focused on leveraging digital solutions to reduce health disparities. Freeman has been recognized by Healthcare Innovation magazine’s 40 Under 40 list and The New York Times Tribute to Nurses award for contributions to digital health.
