
Rob Schiffmann is a New York City-based corporate host, comedian, improviser, musician, and keynote speaker with a career at the intersection of entertainment and the corporate sector spanning more than two decades. Schiffmann is a three-time MAC Award winner from the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs. He has hosted meetings for a range of major corporations, including Big Lots, IBM, Lenovo, Crayola, Merck, Folgers, Microsoft, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Hewlett-Packard, Bank of America, BMW, DuPont, Genentech, Pepsi, and Dannon.
Schiffmann has served as a cast member, director, teacher, and music director for Chicago City Limits, New York City's longest-running comedy show. He directs and performs with "Broadway's Next Hit Musical," an improvisational musical-comedy show that tours nationally. The show takes audience suggestions and turns them into spontaneous scenes and songs from never-before-seen musicals. Schiffmann has been recognized by The New York Times and New York Post for his work in comedy and improvisation.
In addition to his work as a corporate emcee and improviser, Schiffmann is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and recording artist and producer, both independently and with his band "The Hillary Step." His expertise includes conducting interviews, leading interactive game shows, and creating impromptu songs about audience members, often accompanying himself on guitar or piano or using customized backing tracks. Schiffmann has also appeared as an improviser on television on The CBS Early Show, MTV, and The Daily Download on Fuze.
Schiffmann received the INNY Award for Best Improv Coach and has performed and taught improvisation internationally, including in London, Mexico, Portugal, and Guatemala. He has taught and directed improv at The School for Film and Television, Weist-Barron, and Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. In virtual settings, Schiffmann has hosted and performed for organizations such as Brightstar Cares, Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, Zoetis Pet Care, The Domestic Violence Crisis Center, and Greenwich Pharmaceuticals.
