Rob Boyd

Rob Boyd, MPS, is a financial education specialist, author, investor, and international speaker focused on making wealth-building knowledge accessible to underserved communities. Boyd began his academic journey at Howard University, where he developed an interest in financial literacy and economics, and later expanded his expertise in global real estate at Georgetown University. These educational experiences shaped his commitment to closing the financial literacy gap.

Before specializing in financial education, Boyd held roles as a financial advisor and real estate economist, including positions at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta and World Financial Group. His experience in commercial real estate and financial services informs his educational approach. Boyd joined Empify, a fintech company, as vice president of education and business development, where he applies his industry knowledge to support the platform's community of learners.

At Empify, Boyd serves as lead financial educator of the WealthBuilders Community, overseeing programs that teach adults and students the fundamentals of personal finance, investing, and wealth creation. The company’s flagship offerings include programs such as "Stocks 101," "Passive Income Boot Camp," and the "REIT Accelerator," which Boyd has promoted as resources for understanding complex financial products. Boyd co-presented Nareit with Empify's Innovation and Impact Award at the WealthBuilder Weekend Conference, recognizing Nareit's efforts in educating underrepresented communities about real estate investment trusts. He has also spoken at events such as the Greater Memphis Chamber's Mid-Year Chairman's Forum, establishing his presence in the financial empowerment sector.

Boyd’s work extends beyond digital platforms. Empify has delivered financial education programming in more than 50 schools nationwide and in juvenile detention centers, aiming to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline. Boyd has discussed the challenges faced in serving low-to-moderate income families and navigating budget constraints within school systems. Despite these obstacles, Boyd contributed to building a platform that has reached over 2 million individuals worldwide. In his book, "Prisoner of Purpose," Boyd shares his life experiences and professional insights as a guide for those seeking fulfillment and direction. His workshops, including "Changing Your Life from the Inside Out" and "Every Leader Needs a Leader," have been presented to audiences at Fortune 500 companies, international organizations, and universities, positioning Boyd as a recognized voice in financial empowerment and personal leadership.
