Dr. Richard Chang, is internationally known and highly respected for his quality improvement, organization development, customer value, strategic planning, measurement systems, team development, performance improvement, product realization and human resource development expertise. In addition, Dr. Chang served as a Judge for the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award from 1996-1999 and has served as the Chief Judge for the California Awards for Performance Excellence.

Prior to establishing Richard Chang Associates, Inc., a diversified performance improvement consulting, training, and publishing firm, Richard Chang created and directed the Corporate Training and Organization Development departments and Human Resources function, Quality Improvement initiative, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system implementation for mid-sized international electronics manufacturers in California. Richard Chang's professional experiences also include operations line-management, quality/process auditing, and career development related positions.

In addition to his consulting activities, Richard Chang has served as part-time faculty for the MBA and undergraduate business administration programs at Loyola Marymount University and as an Associate Professor for the Graduate School of Human Resource Management and Development at Chapman University. In addition, Dr. Chang has served on the faculty for California State University Long Beach and several community colleges in Southern California.

Richard Chang is the author or co-author of over twenty-five books on business and personal development, including his best-selling works: The Passion Plan at Work-Building a Passion-Driven Organization, Performance Scorecards-Measuring the Right Things in the Real World, and The Passion Plan -A Step-by-Step Guide to Discovering, Developing, and Living Your Passion. Richard Chang is also the author of a number of award-winning video and audio programs.

Richard Chang served as the Chair of the Board for the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), and has been a past president of the Orange County Chapter. Based on significant contributions to the Society and the profession, Dr. Chang has been recognized with the Gordon Bliss Memorial Award and the Torch Award, two of the highest forms of national leadership recognition provided by ASTD.
