Reeta Loi Biography
Reeta Loi is a storyteller, Buddhist, and multi-award-winning LGBTQ+ rights activist known for blending advocacy, performance, and personal transformation. As the CEO of Gaysians and a Forbes 100 Woman Founder, she has spent more than a decade advancing LGBTQ+ visibility and rights, including supporting the successful movement to decriminalize homosexuality in India in 2018.
A former contributing editor at Gay Times, Loi has spoken at venues and organizations including The Oxford Union, TEDxLondon, Meta, Deloitte, and Burberry. Her work has also appeared in media projects including a widely viewed VICE documentary exposing an international gay marriage scam and "Where Have All the Lesbians Gone?"
Drawing from her experience growing up in an arranged marriage culture, Loi uses comedy, poetry, music, and Buddhist philosophy to explore identity, liberation, and wellbeing. After training at Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, she toured her live show and headlined at Barbican Centre. In 2025, she is introducing RAIN, a Buddhist-inspired framework for personal and organizational transformation.
