Rebecca Lobo

Rebecca Lobo, a television basketball analyst and former professional women's basketball player, has led a career marked by significant achievements in the sport. Her journey began at the University of Connecticut, where she led her team to a perfect 35–0 season and the 1995 national championship. Her performance was recognized with several awards in the same year, including the Naismith College Player of the Year, AP Player of the Year, and the Honda-Broderick Cup. From college, Lobo transitioned to a professional basketball career, playing in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) from 1997 to 2003.

Throughout her career, Lobo has been honored with numerous accolades and inductions into prestigious sports halls of fame. Her notable recognitions include being inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017, and the Connecticut Women's Hall of Fame in 2016. Furthermore, she founded the Ruth Ann and Rebecca Lobo Scholarship for Hispanic students at the UConn School of Allied Health with her mother and served as a national spokesperson for Body1.com, advocating for knee injury risk awareness and patient self-education.
