Dr. Raven Baxter is a respected molecular biologist and a leader in science education. She has been a keynote and panelist at Princeton, Harvard, John Hopkins University, the STARZ #TakeTheLead Initiative, the National PTA Convention, and the National Science Teaching Association. She has also been invited to exclusive conferences such as Leading Woman Defined. Dr. Baxter has received many honors, including Forbes' 30 under 30, Fortune Magazine's 40 Under 40, the Ebony Power 100 list (STEM Trailblazer), AfroTech's inaugural Future 50 list, and Woman of Distinction by the American Association of University Women. Recently, she was featured in People Magazine for her involvement in Olay's "Woman Who Give An F" campaign.
Dr. Baxter's contributions to science have extended beyond academia and into the corporate world, where she has partnered with Olay's STEM initiatives. Her work has also been referenced in Saturday Night Live sketches and as part of Hip Hop's 50th celebration. She has collaborated frequently with NASA and the White House to promote science outreach in government. Dr. Baxter received her bachelor's and master's degrees in Biology from Buffalo State and a doctorate in Science Education from the University at Buffalo.
