Rasheda Kamaria Williams

Rasheda Kamaria Williams is a mentor, TEDx speaker, author, and social entrepreneur whose work focuses on youth empowerment, mentorship, and communications. Williams is the founder of Empowered Flower Girl, a social enterprise dedicated to transforming how young people relate to themselves and others. She brings nearly 20 years of experience in the education, nonprofit, and philanthropic sectors, collaborating with national and global organizations and institutions. Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Wayne State University Journalism Institute for Media Diversity and has extensive training in youth development, community relations, and interpersonal communication.

Williams's advocacy is rooted in personal experience. As a survivor of bullying, she shared her story in Cosmopolitan magazine in the article "Being bullied changed my life." Her journey from exclusion to empowerment motivated her to launch Empowered Flower Girl and inspired her book, "Be EmPOWERed: How to Live Above & Beyond Life's Drama," which details her personal growth and the support she received from mentors, friends, and trusted adults. Growing up in a single-parent household and becoming the first in her family to graduate high school and college with honors, Williams has used her experiences to create a platform that resonates with audiences of all ages.

Williams supports changemakers and social impact founders by helping them amplify their missions and expand their reach, combining strategic communications expertise with a commitment to social change. She is also the founder of Inspired Life Professionals, a purpose-driven communications consultancy. Williams delivers content for youth and adult audiences at conferences, assemblies, workshops, and panel discussions, offering expertise in cyberbullying prevention, digital citizenship, mentoring, and supporting teens in the digital age.
