Randy Livingston is a well-known figure in American basketball, both as a former professional player and current coach. Livingston's basketball career was notably diverse, having played for nine different teams in the NBA over a span of eleven seasons. These teams included esteemed names such as the Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, and many more. He also expanded his horizons beyond the American borders, showcasing his skills for Galatasaray S.K. in Turkey.
After his playing career, Livingston transitioned into coaching, with a notable stint with the Idaho Stampede. His contributions were instrumental in the Stampede's victory in the 2008 NBA Development League Championship. This success was punctuated by personal accolades, being named the NBA D-League Most Valuable Player in 2007 and making the All-NBA D-League First Team in consecutive years, 2007 and 2008. His enduring legacy with the Idaho Stampede was solidified with the retirement of his jersey, which now adorns the Century Link Arena in Boise, Idaho. Livingston served as the varsity boys basketball head coach at Isidore Newman School from 2017 to 2025.
