Randi Kaye

Randi Kaye is an Emmy Award–winning correspondent for CNN based in Miami. Since joining the network in 2004, she has covered many of the defining news stories of the past two decades, including presidential campaigns, mass shootings, natural disasters, and major investigative stories.

Kaye has reported extensively on the Jeffrey Epstein case, securing exclusive interviews with survivors, and has covered every presidential election from Barack Obama's 2008 campaign through the 2024 race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. She has also hosted CNN documentaries on the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, the Boston Marathon bombing, and the Dannemora prison escape.

Throughout her career, Kaye has reported from the front lines of major breaking news events, including the Parkland school shooting, the BP oil spill, Hurricane Katrina, the death of Osama bin Laden, and the death of Michael Jackson. Her investigative reporting has also included the Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal and an Emmy-winning investigation into infertility drugs sold on the black market.

Before joining CNN, Kaye worked for ABC News and several ABC affiliates, as well as WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, where she covered stories ranging from the Whitewater investigation to the arrest of Zacarias Moussaoui.

A two-time national Emmy Award winner, Kaye has also contributed to CNN's Peabody Award–winning coverage of Hurricane Katrina and the Gulf oil spill and has received Headliner, GLAAD, and NLGJA honors for her reporting.

Kaye graduated cum laude from Boston University with a degree in broadcast journalism.
