Radha Agrawal

Radha Agrawal is an entrepreneur, social innovator, author, and community architect whose work focuses on wellness, belonging, and human connection. Agrawal is the co-founder, CEO, and chief community architect of Daybreaker, a global morning dance, music, and wellness movement with a community spanning seven continents. Daybreaker has grown from a grassroots gathering into a business with hundreds of thousands of community members in more than 30 cities, offering substance-free events rooted in wellness, camaraderie, self-expression, mindfulness, and mischief.

Agrawal has co-founded, sold, and invested in several businesses in the wellness industry, including THINX underwear. She is an author, speaker, DJ, inventor, and investor, with a focus on supporting female-owned businesses. Agrawal has built companies to significant scale and has spoken openly about overcoming challenges, including a hostile takeover at a previous startup, which led her to focus on Daybreaker.

Her book, "Belong: Find Your People, Create Community, and Live a More Connected Life," explores strategies for building meaningful real-world communities and addresses the paradox of digital connection and increasing isolation. In "Belong," Agrawal introduces the concept of "community confusion" and provides a practical guide to fostering genuine connection. She is also developing "The Joy Ride," which explores the emerging field of functional happiness.

Agrawal and the Daybreaker team have led large-scale wellness and motivational events, including a tour with Oprah and WW, where she guided thousands through movement experiences. Her expertise in science-backed community-building strategies has been featured at events for Nike, Wisdom 2.0, Princeton University, Burning Man, and Facebook Global Marketing Summit. At SXSW, she presented "The Power of Belonging: How Ending Loneliness Will Save Our Planet," introducing a new framework for togetherness called the compass of belonging.

Agrawal launched DOSE by Daybreaker, a science-backed membership platform designed to make practicing joy as common as yoga and meditation. She is collaborating with UC Berkeley and the Greater Good Science Center on research into collective effervescence, examining the impact of group dance on happiness and well-being. Agrawal is also the founder of the Belong Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending loneliness and supporting individuals seeking community. Her work has been recognized by MTV and she has received entrepreneurship honors, including the Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Award.
