Pippa Malmgren

Pippa Malmgren, a technology entrepreneur and economist, has held significant roles within both the American and British governments. She is the founder and CEO of the Geopolitica Institute, which explores the nexus between geopolitics, technological innovation, strategic security, markets, and human flourishing. Her experience includes serving as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush for Economic Policy on the National Economic Council, and as a non-executive board member of the Department for International Trade in the British Government from 2016-2019. She further extended her influence as a senior advisor to The Monaco Foundry, a startup incubator, and as a board member at Premios Verdes, a platform promoting sustainability.

Malmgren has made substantial contributions to the field of economics, not only through her advisory roles, but also as an author. Her works include "Geopolitics for Investors," "Signals: How Everyday Signs Help Us Navigate the World's Turbulent Economy," "The Leadership Lab," and "The Infinite Leader." The latter two have received significant recognition, with "The Leadership Lab" being awarded the 2019 Business Book of the Year and "The Infinite Leader" earning the 2021 International Press Award for Best Book on Leadership. She is also credited with the first usage of the term "shrinkflation."
