Phil Lempert, known as The Supermarket Guru, is recognized for his expertise in food trends, consumer behavior, and the retail landscape. Lempert holds degrees in marketing and retail management from Drexel University and completed post-graduate studies at Pratt Institute. He founded Lempert Advertising, a full-service agency specializing in food and retail branding, marketing, and public relations, where he served as CEO and creative director.

Lempert established SupermarketGuru.com, a prominent online resource for food and health information. He is also the founder and editor of The Lempert Report and the founder and CEO of the Retail Dietitians Business Alliance. Lempert’s annual trend forecast is widely cited in industry publications and has been recognized by The New York Times for its insight into food and grocery retail trends.

Lempert’s media career includes serving as food trends editor and correspondent for NBC News' Today show, as well as appearances on ABC's The View, FOX Business, Dr. Oz, The Oprah Winfrey Show, 20/20, CNN, and CNBC.
