Phil Keoghan

Phil Keoghan is a New Zealand-born television host, producer, author, and adventurer recognized for his contributions to American reality television. Keoghan is best known as the host and producer of the CBS reality series "The Amazing Race." His career in television was influenced by a near-death experience at age 19, which inspired his life philosophy, BUCKiT, and the book "No Opportunity Wasted – Eight Steps to Getting the Most Out of Life."

As host of "The Amazing Race," Keoghan has traveled to more than 50 countries, including Zambia, France, Tunisia, Italy, Thailand, India, China, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Namibia, South Africa, Scotland, Malaysia, Mexico, Germany, Morocco, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Vietnam, Singapore, the Netherlands, South Korea, Uruguay, Argentina, Russia, Egypt, Tanzania, Canada, the Philippines, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Senegal, Hungary, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Peru, and the United States. Keoghan co-created and hosts the reality competition program "Tough as Nails" on CBS. The show highlights the skills and endurance of everyday workers, such as tradespeople, firefighters, roadworkers, and line workers, through a series of challenges designed to test physical and mental toughness. "Tough as Nails" achieved high ratings among unscripted series on U.S. broadcast television.

In addition to his television work, Keoghan retraced the route of the 1928 Tour de France on a vintage bicycle, documenting the journey in the film "Le Ride." The documentary tells the story of the first English-speaking team to compete in the event.
